Corey Seager Out Again As Texas Rangers Shortstop Lands On Injured List
Updated July 25, 2023
Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager left Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels after landing on the 10-day injured list for the second time in 2023, this time with a right thumb injury. Seager, who hasn't played since he injured his thumb on July 21 while sliding into second base against the Houston Astros, is hitting .327 with 33 homers in 2023, including an on-base percentage of .390 and a slugging percentage of .585. The Rangers, who are in fourth place in the American League West, have struggled without Seager in the lineup, going 4-7 in his absence.
